A lawyer who studied law in France and the United Kingdom, Martin Pailhes joined BNP Paribas in London before continuing his career with the Group in Paris, where he focuses on issues related to digital technologies, IT, and intellectual property. At BNP Paribas, he heads the Digital & IP Platform, the organization within the Group’s legal department that brings together and coordinates all lawyers specializing in digital matters. In this capacity, he plays a central role in providing legal support for strategic projects focusing in particular on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data protection, digital assets, blockchain, and intellectual property, working closely with the business, IT, and innovation teams. He is also deeply involved in the Group’s strategic discussions regarding the evolution of regulatory frameworks applicable to emerging technologies, both in Europe and internationally.

Frédéric Legac has been working in the IT industry for 25 years, combining technical expertise with strategic leadership. As a systems and networks engineer, he initially led development, integration, and critical incident management projects for major clients. In 2004, he joined BNP Paribas CIB, where he oversaw the large-scale deployment of Java and middleware technologies (BEA/Oracle), as well as caching, grid computing, and messaging solutions. Promoted in 2011, he became an international manager overseeing 50–60 employees (in Madrid, London, Mumbai, and Paris) and an infrastructure architect. In 2013, he co-launched a private cloud with a marketplace and data-centric services, then held positions as Product Manager and Director, creating marketing offerings and analytical tools. In 2019, he led the Data & Innovation team at CyberSOC, became deputy manager in 2020, and continues to accelerate data and AI projects to secure the group’s digital assets.

Laurent Carlier holds a master’s degree in applied mathematics from Centrale Paris and a master’s degree in quantitative finance from Sorbonne University. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in the banking sector. He initially led several quantitative research teams in London, Tokyo, and New York. For the past ten years, he has been leading the Data and AI Lab in Paris, which supports BNP Paribas’ Corporate and Investment Banking – Global Markets division. His primary areas of focus include designing and implementing projects aimed at automating tasks, increasing productivity, and improving pricing and risk management for financial products using artificial intelligence, whether traditional or generative.

Mathieu Fontaine earned his Ph.D. on alpha-stable processes for signal processing. He then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at RIKEN AIP (Japan), where he worked on applied mathematics for real-time audio signal processing. He is currently an associate professor at Télécom Paris. His research focuses on the theoretical aspects of structured time series such as audio signals, as well as on fundamental models for automatic listening applications. More broadly, he is interested in the intersection of stochastic modeling and deep learning for time-varying signals.

François Roueff earned a master’s degree from École Polytechnique in 1995, followed by a Ph.D. in signal processing from the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in 2000. He is currently a professor at Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, within the S2A group at the LTCI laboratory. His research focuses on time series modeling, with specific topics related to the modeling of low- and high-frequency financial data: statistical inference for long-memory models, forecasting in a time-varying context, and modeling of point processes.

Rida Khatoun earned a Master’s degree in computer engineering and a Ph.D. from the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT) in 2004 and 2008, respectively. He is currently a Professor at Télécom Paris. His research focuses on cloud computing security, Internet of Things security, vehicular network security, security architecture, intrusion detection systems, and blockchain technology.

Albert Bifet is a professor of AI and director of Te Ipu o te Mahara—The AI Institute at the University of Waikato, as well as a professor of Big Data at Télécom Paris. As a specialist in machine learning on data streams, he develops large-scale adaptive and responsible AI systems. An open-source pioneer, he co-founded Apache SAMOA and co-authored Machine Learning for Data Streams (MIT Press). An active member of the international scientific community, he also contributes to AI standardization initiatives.

Léa Déléris is Head of AI Robots and Tech (AIR Tech) at BNP Paribas, a cross-functional unit within the Risk and Compliance departments dedicated to artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, and innovation. She joined BNP Paribas in 2018 to establish and lead a data science team within the Risk function. Previously, Léa spent more than ten years at IBM Research in the United States and Europe, where she led research teams in AI and natural language processing. She graduated from École Polytechnique, Stanford University, and Paris Dauphine–PSL University.
